Forever Green Initiative Career Pathways Program

Career Pathways is the Forever Green Initiative’s (FGI) program to enhance the recruitment, retention, and training of a diverse cohort of undergraduate, graduate, and post-doctoral researchers key to the success of FGI’s mission and contribute to the talent pool of the food and agriculture sector.

The program seeks to integrate lessons learned from related efforts within the College of Food, Agricultural and Natural Resource Sciences (CFANS) and aligns with opportunities available through programs led by academic departments and leadership within the College, the University of Minnesota, and partners in the private sector, including non-profits.

Program goals are to:

  • Meet the specific professional development and recruitment needs of Forever Green research teams to advance Forever Green research projects
  • Equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in STEM-related professions
  • Foster students' ability to work across academic, organizational, social, and geographic differences
